Arctic Light

The video you are about to watch was filmed by Terje Sorgjerd in Norway earlier this year.  He has been trying to capture a natural phenomenon where the sunset and sunrise are connected. Another words the sun never dips below the horizon to make way for nightfall. But this only happens during a certain season of the year, 2-4 weeks before the midnight sun is visible.  He has been working at this for 4 years.  The music was composed by a young artist, Marika Takeuchi.

It amazes me how so much varied talent can fit together so seemlessly.  Although it was not the intention of the film maker or the composer to bring attention to God it is impossible for me not to see Him in the beauty of his creation through nature and human artistry.

" For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." Romans 1:20

It absolutely floors me how some people watch this video and say that God does not exist!  They say that all of this beauty just happened by accident and that there is no proof of any intelligent design.  That is not true.  But I cannot convince anyone of anything. Even if I gave all the scientific proof of all time it would never be enough to change the mind of those who are set on unbelief.

And it wouldn't matter if I gave the best argument, sermon, or report in the world to prove my point.  I am not all knowing or all wise.  Only God can move the heart of those who don't believe.

So I refuse to let scoffers and critics belittle me for my faith.  I refuse to allow spirits of discouragement and uncertainty infect my joy.  There will always be those who hate even the notion of God, just as there have always been.  But God exists whether anyone chooses to believe in Him or not.  And one day the whole world will finally see Him.

"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else... God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'"
 Acts 17:23

You're so right that only God can move the heart. All we can do is be real with His presence in our lives and in prayer.

Tracy: Yes. And sometimes just trusting in Him can be the test. Do we really wait on His timing or do we push to have things done our way when we want it to happen?
