Deep Down We're All The Same

There are a lot of thoughts that go through my brain. Some are boring, some are funny, some are dumb, and every once-in-a-while a few are inspiring. I was in an inspired mood the other day and thus this post was born. :) What was the thought behind it? Well... the simple fact that no matter who you are or where you live we are all the same. Everyone has needs, everyone wants to be respected, everyone wants to have a genuine reason to smile and believe that the future will bring something better.

Even the very rich know that money isn't everything. They too desire true friends. Even the very poor have dreams and aspirations for a better tomorrow. No one has to teach a person how to hope. That's already inside all of us. I believe God put that in our hearts... that small part of us that will live forever... that infinite part of us that yearns to be everything we can be.

Almost every religion in the world talks about a future free from the pains and injustices of this world. It is a universal hope that there is more than what this existence can offer. And so... while I was on this plane of thought I jumped on youtube and found a video that says everything so much better than I.

Deep down we're all the same. Everyone lives and everyone dies. I just wish that those who encourage hatred, those who promote terrorism, those who abuse the weak and innocent could see how much better it is to love and care and nurture. There is great darkness in our world. But every once-in-a-while some of us transcend that darkness and see the world as God meant it to be... a world of love... a world of hope.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8
