April 30th: Blog Day Of Silence

April 30th has been designated a day of silence for bloggers the world over. I think its a great idea. If you would like to join in then please spread the word!

You can find the graphics to the right under Places Of Interest: ONEDAYBLOGSILENCE

The idea is simple. On April 30th bloggers who participate simply post one of the graphics and nothing else. Its like a virtual lighting of the candles ceremony.

I don't think anyone can ever truly understand why the shooting happened... only that the young man needed help and never received it. If you know someone who is struggling with dark thoughts, i.e. depression, suicide, or a deep set bitterness, please reach out to him or her.

What we do as bloggers is fun and interactive but it can never replace interacting with people in real life. Remember to take time and " connect" with people outside of the internet.

My heart, my tears, and my prayers are with the victim's families and the survivors.

" To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up..."
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3

I can add nothing to what you have already said so beautifully my friend.

Thanks for visiting my blog, by the way! Very sweet of you.

dan: Welcome! Feel free to visit any time. I'll be stopping by again too. :)
I think everyone's hurting right now because it could have happened anywhere.
Sometimes its good to be a little sad and reflect along with those who are suffering.

Hey Sincerity. I read this post on the very day you posted, but I haven't found the time to comment. Yup, I'll join the Day of Silence.

It was really nice of you to make this post. :)

Hi Sincerity, Interesting. I had not heard of this. I like the way you remind people to 'put down technology' and connect with living people around us. People tend to isolate from others.

I hope things are good in your world!

a life inspired: Hey there! Its so nice to hear from you again! :)

Yeah, the internet is very alluring and it can be really easy to just engross oneself in virtual reality.

I just thought a little reminder of what's really important was in order.
