Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me this I know,

For the Bible tells me so.

Little ones to Him belong,

They are weak but He is strong.

Yes Jesus loves me,

The Bible tells me so.

I was very young when I learned this song.  But the words and the tune have stayed in my mind for all these years.  They are simple words speaking a very simple truth.  Jesus loves me.  And it reminds me of the fact that, although the Bible is a big book with lots of stories to tell, the greatest of them all is God's story to us.

He uses the Bible to tell us that He loves us.  He includes so many stories in the Bible so that we can better relate to the lessons He wants us to learn about how to trust Him and how He will always come through for us.  The Bible, in truth, is a love story about God and man (human beings.)  It tells us that we are not an accident.  It tells us that ALL LIFE is precious and thoughtfully created.  It tells us that there is hope even in the darkest, bleakest moments of life.

God loved us, you and me, so much that he became a human being just so that He could better relate to us.  No other god in any religion in the world has EVER claimed to do this.  Only the God of the Bible.

I feel so unworthy of such a phenomenal love but at the same time I am so thankful.  There is nothing any one of us could do to deserve God's love.  And He knew this.  It is why He sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save us from ourselves.  

I hope as you go through your daily life that you remember, no matter what happens, or how you might struggle with inner frustrations, that God loves you  very much.  He sees you living in your little "corner" of the world and He has not forgotten you.  Know that you are loved and that HE is moving things to bring you joy beyond anything you could even dream.
