Summer, A Wedding, and Pretty Place

Just a few weeks ago I received a call from a dear friend who informed me that she was getting married. After my initial joy and enthusiastic congratulations I asked her where the wedding might take place. She responded, " At Pretty Place." I thought she was talking about a pretty place but then she explained that there really is a place called, Pretty Place.

Pretty Place Chapel is an outdoor chapel in Camp Greenville North Carolina that is located near the border of North and South Carolina. The views from Pretty Place Chapel are breathtaking to say the least.

Sunrises and sunsets just melt your eyeballs there.

Of course I will be taking lots of pictures on that special day. But beyond the location of the ceremony there will be lots to see and do. There are many beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls and more fantastic views to see. So... I'm looking forward to it! Of course... I'll have to bring lots of tissues along because I just know I'm going to get misty-eyed. But hey, what are weddings for? :)

Wow! It certainly is a pretty place. I have always liked the concept of open air churches where the altar is God's own creation. There is a famous one at Tekapi Lake in New Zealand too with a spectacular view. It will be a beautiful wedding for sure.

So Pretty!

I just "tied the knot" last Saturday, so the newness of what just happened to me is very fresh, and reading this post brought all of my fresh emotions into my reading :)

Ours was a small service at a wedding chapel, the pastor was wonderful. He gave us much meat for our journey together with the Lord. Thank you for this beautiful post. The wonder that God cares so much for us that He has given us marriage so that we can bond with someone in Him is almost too much for my thoughts to contain. I am grateful that the Lord has given us each other as a "help meet" :)
